Rules

1. All player must be 19 years of age or older to play.

2. The last day to sign up any new players is October 14/24 (unless approved by the executive) They must pay their fees by this date as well.  No player is to move from one team to another after this date. Any player quitting after this date cannot rejoin until the following season, nor will dues be refunded.

3. All boards will be 5ft. 8in. from the floor to the center. The throwing line will be 7ft.91/4in. and have proper lighting.

4. Starting time is 7:30pm, any player who arrives after play has begun may not join in until the next match, even if a dummy is being used. The 15 minute grace period is to allow teams who only have 3 players the opportunity for the 4th player to arrive. If the team has 4 players the game will start at 7:30.

5. All games consist of the best 2 out of 3, straight in, double out. Singles 501, doubles 601, triples 701.

6. Home team diddles first, closest to the bull goes first. Do not straighten darts for diddle, which ever appears to be closest is the winner. The dart only has to land anywhere inside the 1st outer ring of the board. Loser of the first game starts the second game. If a third game is required the home team diddles first again. Any dart in the scoring area counts as a diddle.

7. All scoring will be done by both teams 50/50 .

8. Two dummies cannot be used to make up a team in either triples or doubles.

9. The dummy score is 25. The dummy ceases when the score reaches 75 or lower. The team with the dummy still has to miss a turn when their score is 75 or lower.

10. Markers should be looking at the board and not talking to team members. This is common courtesy to the players throwing. Markers can tell you what you have scored; and/or what you have left; may not inform you of number combination of doubling out.

11. Do not remove your darts from the board until the marker has confirmed your score. The markers decision is final in case of a dispute.

12. All 180’s, high outs and high scores (any score over 120) must be written on the back of the score sheet under the “Protests & Comments” section and initialed, after each match, by the opposing Captain. If not completed, no protest can be made.

13.  All protests must be made and noted on the back of the score sheet and reported to the President.

14. Each team will be allowed only one forfeit. Any team forfeiting more than once will not be eligible for playoffs. In the event a team is unable to play on Monday night the opposing team will be awarded 11 points and each player on the team being forfeited to will get 2 personal points. It is up to the discretion of the team captains if they mutually agree to arrange a make up. At no time will the team being forfeited on be obligated to make said arrangement and their decision alone will be final.

15. Team captains are responsible for the conduct of their players. There will be zero tolerance for inappropriate behavior towards any member of the league or host venue staff.

16. When a player in singles is drawn against the dummy they shall receive 2 personal points.

17. In order to be eligible for the playoffs, a player must have played 1/3 of the regular season; Executive members exempt from this rule.

18. No double out points awarded, however, 1 point awarded to each player on the triples and doubles team for each win in a match.

19. 1 point awarded at 120-139, 2 points awarded at 140-170, 3 points awarded at 171-180. All points awarded must be listed under protests and comments and initialed by the opposing captain after each match.

20.  Impartial markers, if possible, for playoffs. Volunteers are welcome.

21. Team captains may submit their sheets electronically to the statistician at 905-442-6933 or E-mail at randyjen@rogers.com no later than the Wed. after play. You must send photos of the FRONT and BACK of the sheets. All hard copies must be kept in case there is a discrepancy. Captains must sign the opposing teams sheet and initial personal highlights.

22. If the league were to fold all monies left in bank account to to be given to a charity to be designated at that time.

23. Any teams not paying by the cutoff date (see rule 2) will receive no team or personal points until all owing monies are paid to the league.
